Helping Chickasha Students!

The education foundation is an independent community-based nonprofit that helps Chickasha Public Schools students by providing support for educational opportunities that cannot be funded through the district's budget.

In response to the diverse needs of our students, your investment in CPSF supports our innovative programs:

Grants to Teachers:  Inspiring students through in innovative and creative programs.  For the 2013-2014 over $41,000 in grants were awarded. We have given over $690,000 in grants to teachers over the last 28 years.  It is impossible to predict what will inspire a student and inspiration is everywhere.  CPSF in committed to funding a diverse array of innovate programming such as: I-Pads in math classrooms, software programs to engage students in 21stcentury learning on Smart Boards, hands on science supplies, activity centers for hand's on exploring for our littlest learners, and many more great  programs.

Diamonds in the Rough:  Our award winning program inspires 5th grade girls to accomplish their dreams. The 5th grade girls have an opportunity to meet successful women from the Chickasha community. They also learn etiquette to use a formal setting as well as the impact they can have on their community through education. To find out how to become a Diamonds in the Rough Mentor or corporate sponsor please contact the Foundation office in January.

Scholarships to Chickasha High School graduates: Student scholarships are provided by community members to assist with higher education expenses. Scholarships are awarded to students after careful review by the selection committee made up of Foundation board members and invested community members. We currently offer an average of $2000 in awards annually. Students are encouraged to apply.

Gentlemen of Distinction:  A new and exciting program for 5th grade boys modeled after Diamonds in the Rough. In 2014 the first ever Gentlemen of Disctinction began with the help of successful men in the Chickasha community. Much like our 5th grade girls program, these young men learn etiquette and what the future holds for them through educational opportunties.  To find out how to become a Gentlemen of Distinction Mentor or corporate sponsor please contact the Foundation office in January.
